Lavender candle making instructions
- First, make sure your glass jar is clean and completely dry before using.
- Then, using a water bath, slowly melt the soy wax. Do not overheat, as the wax can burn. Remove from fire.
- In the meantime, glue the wick to the bottom center of the glass jar.
- Then, working one stem at a time, insert the dried lavender into the sides of the jar. Continue working all the way around the bottle until the desired effect is achieved.
- Wrap the longer end of the wick around a skewer and place the skewer on top of the bridge. This will keep the wick centered in your pot.
- Add 15 drops of lavender essential oil to the melted wax and stir. Add more for a stronger scent.
- Slowly pour the wax into the prepared jar. Let the wax cool completely and harden.
- Once the wax has hardened, cut the excess wick 1⁄4” from the top of the candle.
- Wrap some twine around the neck of the jar with some lavender stalks, if desired.
