In addition, Honey Body Butter combines the conditioning properties of Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter with the repairing and moisturizing properties of raw honey. See what is needed below.
butter ingredients
Herbal body ointment recipe
- 50 g shea butter
- 25 g of cocoa butter
- 35 g of sweet almond oil
- 7 g honey or 1 teaspoon
- 10 drops chamomile essential oil (optional)
- Fuê and spatula
How You Can Prepare Your Body Butter
1- First, measure the shea butter and cocoa butter, then, in a small pan, place in a bain-marie to melt.
2- Soon after, when the butter has completely melted, take the pan with a tong and remove it from the heat of the fire, then pour the sweet almond oil and the honey, mix gently with the fuê. If you notice the oils solidifying, place the pot back in the water until it is completely melted again.
3- Then wipe any moisture from the pan and place it in the freezer for five minutes.
4- After five minutes, remove the pan from the freezer, add the essential oil, and mix well. Place the pan back in the freezer for another five minutes.
4- Soon after, 10 minutes in the freezer should have cooled the mixture to a consistency where there is a thin, solid layer on the surface. That way, underneath that layer, it should still be a little runny.
5- Then blend everything one last time and you will have a wonderfully scented and creamy honey body butter that is easy to pour into a container. Work quickly, that is because it will get solid quickly
6- The final consistency is similar to a normal milk butter, which you took out of the fridge and softened a little. It's firm but easy to pick up.
How to use
This is a luxurious homemade body butter to keep your body's skin hydrated and supple. It also adds a radiant glow thanks to these natural butters and oils.
In this way, it is wonderful to massage other parts of the body, the legs, arms and knees. It spreads like butter and leaves your skin feeling dewy and conditioned. Although, I don't recommend it for your face.
Durability
First of all, always check the expiry date of the ingredients. However, as it has no preservative, it lasts for 6 months. Finally, keep in a cool and airy place, use a spatula to handle.
Almond oil alternatives
If you prefer, you can replace sweet almond oil with grape seed oil, apricot seed, olive oil and sunflower oil. As well as, you can also use mango butter, sustainable palm oil.
