Lemon juice can clean glass
If you're looking for a more natural way to clean your windows and other glass surfaces in your home, consider this lemon juice and vinegar mixture.
Love cleaning with vinegar but hate the smell? Try mixing in the lemon juice – this will help to tone down the smell a bit and still give you all the cleaning power you need. Also, this lemon vinegar mixture can be particularly useful for certain cleaning tasks.
First, add 1 tbsp of white vinegar and 2 tbsp of lemon juice to an empty spray bottle, then pour in 1 cup of hot (but not boiling) water and shake to mix again.
Lemon juice is a great degreaser.
Lemon juice and vinegar make great degreasers, so the next time you're cleaning that greasy stove, mix 1/2 cup lemon juice and 2 cups white vinegar in a spray bottle to make your own degreasing spray. Simply spray and wipe off with a cloth or paper towels.
Lemon + thick salt = Removes difficult dirt
In case, your dishes got that greasy crust, use half of a freshly squeezed lemon and a little coarse salt to scrub everything easily. But avoid teflon pans.
Microwave lemon cleaner
Firstly, simply pour 1/2 cup of lemon juice into a bowl, or measuring cup, then heat the mixture for 3 minutes, or until boiling.
Then let it rest for 5 minutes without opening the door to allow the steam to release the leftover food. Finally, clean the microwave with a cloth.
Important Tips: Never mix lemon with bleach, mixing ammonia with bleach can be dangerous, but in general, acids – like vinegar and lemon juice – and bleach should never be mixed either. Also, be careful to always keep these cleaning ingredients safely separate.
Do not use lime on marble or brass surfaces. – lemon juice can corrode marble and leave marks and stains.
